David L. Broder, DO, of Melville, New York, is a board-certified internist. Dr. Broder serves as the Associate Dean for Professional Affairs at D’Youville University’s proposed College of Osteopathic Medicine in Buffalo. He is also the Chair of Primary Care and a Professor of Medicine at D’Youville. Dr. Broder is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM) in Old Westbury, where he previously served as Associate Dean for Postdoctoral Education.

Prior to his election as Vice Speaker, Dr. Broder served the AOA in several capacities, including parliamentarian and the Council on Osteopathic Postdoctoral Training Institutions. He is a 2022 recipient of an AOA Presidential Citation. He is a past president of the New York State Osteopathic Medical Society and currently serves as their parliamentarian.

After earning his osteopathic medical degree from NYITCOM, Dr. Broder completed a rotating internship and medicine residency at the New York Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn. He is a graduate of the inaugural class of the Osteopathic Heritage Health Policy Fellowship. Dr. Broder received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from the University of Rochester.​

In his free time, he can often be found hiking in one of New York’s many parks.
