The AOA's 2020-21 Annual Report provides an overview of the AOA's work to advance the osteopathic medical profession.
The 2020-21 AOA Annual Report provides an overview of the American Osteopathic Association’s efforts during the past year to advance osteopathic advocacy, education, training, research and board certification.
In addition to these initiatives, the AOA focused on building a blueprint for the future to help the organization emerge from the COVID-19 crisis as a stronger and more impactful ally and advocate for our members. As part of this effort, we reimagined and reconfigured long-standing events, like OMED and DO Day, to better meet the osteopathic profession’s need for education, connection and community.
In addition, we launched a full-scale campaign to combat misinformation and inaccuracies questioning the credentials of DOs on social media and in the mainstream media. The campaign led to increased awareness and understanding of the education, training and value that DOs provide, and will be further bolstered by the AOA’s new osteopathic brand awareness campaign, which will run in national markets through 2022.
