With 45 chapters serving nearly 15,000 members, the Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA) is the nation’s largest network of osteopathic medical students. As a member of SOMA, you’ll build leadership skills, advance health policy and represent the voice of your fellow medical students.

As a student, the AOA will help you:

    Grant funding up to $5,000 is available for medical students conducting 6-12 month studies tied to existing osteopathic research projects.

  • Understand single GME

    Learn what the latest developments in the transition to a single accreditation system for graduate medical training mean for your career.

  • Manage student loans

    As a student member of the AOA, you have access to discounted programs and services from loan repayment experts and financial planners.

  • Advocate for change
