Exploring social medicine in a global context

Osteopathic medical students and residents participated in the 20th Annual BIOM competition on global health research, outreach and narrative medicine.

The American Osteopathic Association’s Bureau of International Osteopathic Medicine (BIOM) presented its 20th Annual International Seminar, “Social Medicine and the Ethics of Providing Health Care in the Global Context,” during OMED 2018.

Michelle Morse, MD, and Zadock Sacks, MD, co-founding directors of EqualHealth, presented the keynote address about social medicine. The program also included a panel discussion on social medicine, ethics and providing care in a global context.
