Paul A. Martin, DO, FACOFP (Dist.) is a board-certified family physician and clinical professor of family medicine at Ohio University-Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine (OU-HCOM). He also serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Dayton, where he is a member of the Animal Research Review Committee.

Currently serving as the AOA advisor to the American Medical Association’s (AMA) Resource-Based Relative Value Scale Update Committee, he contributes to national policy by advising on the valuation of medical, surgical and diagnostic procedures reviewed annually by Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

He is the founding president and a past board member of Providence Medical Group, a physician-owned multispecialty group serving communities throughout the Dayton, Ohio, region. While at Grandview/Southview Medical Centers (now Kettering Health Network), he served in various roles, including chief medical officer, chief of staff, chairman of the Physician-Hospital Steering Committee and as a board member.

Dr. Martin is a past president of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (ACOFP), the Ohio chapter of ACOFP, the ACOFP Foundation, the Ohio Osteopathic Association (OOA) and the Dayton District Academy of Osteopathic Medicine. He also served as a principal investigator for multiple clinical trials and as a board member of CliniSync, Ohio’s statewide Health Information Exchange.

He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree (cum laude) from Midwestern University/Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (MWU/CCOM) and completed his residency at Grandview/Southview Medical Center.
