Sara Ann Lohbauer, DO, MHSA, is a family medicine resident in Gainesville, Fla. She is currently completing her residency at the HCA Florida North Florida Hospital. Dr. Lohbauer graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine-Bradenton in 2021, with her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree.
Dr. Lohbauer has served as a member of the AOA’s Bureau of Emerging Leaders (BEL) for several years and was the BEL Resolutions Work Group Chair (2022-2023). She is a member of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA) serving in numerous capacities since 2018, the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians and the American Academy of Family Physicians, among many other profession-based organizations.
A member of the AOA’s inaugural Leadership Academy, Dr. Lohbauer has been honored with numerous awards and accolades, most recently, the Palms Medical Group Quality Patient Care Award. Dr. Lohbauer is also extensively involved in community outreach programs and has volunteered her time for a variety of initiatives benefitting both local and global populations.
