The AOA Masterfile provides practice and demographic trends in the osteopathic medical profession and highlights the critical role DOs serve in health care.
The AOA Masterfile can connect your product, event or program with one of the nation’s fastest-growing segments in health care: osteopathic medicine. Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DOs) are fully licensed physicians who practice in every medical specialty. Their training and education are similar and equally rigorous to those of an MD, including four years of medical school followed by specialty training in residency programs and fellowships. There are currently more than 122,000 osteopathic physicians in the U.S., and more than 25% of the nation’s current medical students are training to become DOs.
Available for use by external organizations via licensing agreement, the AOA Masterfile offers current and historical data for more than 178,000 osteopathic physicians, residents, fellows and osteopathic medical students in the United States. Included data will be relevant to organizations interested in promoting products or services related to the practice of medicine, or of interest to physicians or medical students as consumers. Once licensed, the organization is permitted to provide the AOA Masterfile to clients through a sublicensing agreement.
The AOA Masterfile provides insights into the practice and demographic trends of DOs with details on: type of practice; practice specialty; board certification; state medical licensure; National Provider Identifier (NPI); osteopathic medical school; additional demographics.
