MATE Act Training to Fulfill DEA Application and Renewal Process

The Michigan Osteopathic Association (MOA) and Michigan Health & Hospital Association (MHA) have teamed up to offer Medication Access and Training Expansion (MATE) Act training requirements on demand for the treatment and management of patients with opioid and other substance use disorders and to meet the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) one-time, eight-hour training requirement for all DEA registered practitioners. Effective on June 27, 2023, all DEA-registered and new medical practitioners are required to attest to the completion of the training when renewing or completing an initial registration.
