Course objectives

Upon completion of this program, participants will: Acquire an updated understanding of current diagnosis, intervention and treatment of medical circumstances arising from dermatology, endocrine, gastrointestinal, neurology and toxicology disorders including diabetic ketoacidosis, thyroid disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, various dermatology dilemmas and rash identifications, migraine headache, altered mental status and stroke update 2024. Additionally, ED management of cardiotoxins, CBD poisoning, xenobiotics and lactation, 45 antidotes, envenomation, bites and stings, Sherlock Holmes toxicologist and challenging toxicology cases will be discussed. Topics in risk management, secrets of the medical review officer, understanding ED errors and situational awareness, pediatric and adolescent mental health and medical clearance of the psychiatric patient will be presented. Environmental emergencies, preparing for and managing casualties from a nuclear attack, assistive benefits of artificial intelligence, osteopathic medicine and artificial intelligence, FAST exam for community doc and atypical and challenging cases from current emergency practice will be included.
