A.T. Still Memorial Lecture: ‘He would be amazed at the progress we have made’

Robert S. Juhasz, DO, 2014-2015 AOA president and emeritus staff at Cleveland Clinic South Point Hospital, delivered this year’s A.T. Still Memorial Lecture at the AOA’s House of Delegates meeting in July. Dr. Juhasz is currently a member of the AOA’s presidential advisory committee and has been on the ACGME board of directors since 2017.

According to the latest Osteopathic Medical Profession (OMP) report, the growth of osteopathic medicine continues to be strong. In the 2022-23 academic year, approximately 36,500 osteopathic medical students are attending DO schools, an all-time high.

ONMM residents are now eligible for ACGME sports medicine fellowships

The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) Board of Directors has approved revisions to the Sports Medicine fellowship requirements to include osteopathic neuromusculoskeletal medicine (ONMM) as an acceptable residency for entry into the fellowship. The change became effective on July 1, 2022.
