To the editor: We thank Gianneschi et al. for investigating diagnostic tests for chest pain, which is an important issue in emergency department (ED) care. Chest pain has a broad differential diagnosis and can be a symptom of an acutely life-threatening condition. Therefore, rapidly implemented and accurate diagnostic tests to rule out life-threatening causes of chest pain are essential in the ED, but the sternal brace test is not one of them.
