Viola M. Frymann, DO, FAAO, FCA was a leader in the osteopathic medical profession who frequently wrote and lectured on Osteopathy, the philosophy which underlies and empowers the Osteopathic Medical Profession. This course focuses on the concepts related to “spirit” as from the first tenet of Osteopathy, “The person is a dynamic unit of body, mind and spirit” and “healing” from the second tenet “The body is self-healing.”
The presentations in this program elucidate some of the content in Dr. Frymann’s lectures and discussion of “Other Dimensions of Healing” she included sometime during virtually all of her basic and intermediate cranial courses. This program also elucidates important distinctions between religion and spirituality pertinent to the practice of medicine. Then we expand the concepts as presented by Dr. Frymann to some contemporary applications which have enhanced the healing possibilities of Osteopathy in the hands and hearts of many who provide osteopathic and healing services to their patients. The program concludes with a panel discussion open to registrant participation.
