Module 2 provides an introduction to the Fascial Distortion Model (FDM), including the theory and concepts that are basic to diagnosis and treatment within the FDM. Each of the distortions are defined and explained along with the likely outcomes with and without treatment. Extensive hands-on time is an integral part of this course.
Diagnosis and treatment of spine, sacrum and pelvis injuries are highlighted in this course with plenty of supervised practicum time so that physicians will be able to return to their offices with skills they can immediately utilize. Module 2 is also an Introduction to the Fascial Distortion Model, followed by extensive diagnosis and treatment of the neck, back and hips according to the FDM. Practicum time is an integral part of this course, which provides effective diagnosis and treatment tools for practitioners to treat low back pain and sciatica as well as other injuries of the back, neck and hips.

FDM is open to DO, MD, NP, PA-C, PT, PTA, OT, ATC, DC, ND, DDS, DMD, DPM, medical students (DO and MD after their first year) and Certified Structural Integration practitioners only at this time. PTAs are advised to only practice FDM under the direction of an FDM-trained PT.
