Linda Logan, DO, grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, and her childhood fostered a love of skiing and mountain biking, which she continues to intertwine into her life today. Dr. Logan traveled from Utah to the East Coast for medical school, where she attended the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM).
As a medical student, she was awarded a rural health scholarship, and her leadership grew through various leadership workshops and also as the president of the Integrative Medicine Club. Dr. Logan then completed her residency in Burlington, Vermont, at the University of Vermont in their Anatomic and Clinical Pathology residency. Not only was her focus as a resident on improving her clinical knowledge, but she also spent time on the integration of medical student education.
As a resident, Dr. Logan received accolades for medical student teaching. She also was nominated and became a finalist for the 2024 Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Housestaff Award: Larner College of Medicine Chapter of the AOA Honor Medical Society, an award selected by the University of Vermont residency class of 2024 for a resident who exemplifies the key tenants of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society: professionalism, scholarship, leadership and service.
Dr. Logan also values research, exhibited by her time as the assistant medical director of histology and having served as the CAP junior member of immunohistochemistry. She also published an article in the International Journal of Gynecological Pathology in 2023.
After graduating residency in 2024, Dr. Logan continued her educational journey as a fellow at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Magee Breast/Gynecologic pathology. As a fellow, Dr. Logan continues to focus on education; she teaches residents and integrates medical education into her day-to-day life. She is currently completing her fellowship and will be graduating this spring.
Extending outside her academic achievements, as a resident and fellow, Dr. Logan has served on the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine’s (AACOM) AOGME Resident and Fellows Council (RFC). After serving two years as their executive board vice chair, Dr. Logan was elected RFC Chair, which she currently serves as the leader for this council of residents and fellows. Through this role, Dr. Logan focuses much of her time on engaging with RFC members and mentoring medical students through multiple webinars and creation of an online leadership series.
She is excited to continue her journey as an attending to mentor young osteopathic learners and focus on furthering medical education.
