AOCR Imaging of Dementia and Neurodegenerative Disorders

This webinar will help attendees become familiar with appropriate imaging and protocols for patients presenting with memory and behavioral changes. Topics covered will include different imaging appearances of varying causes of dementia, including movement disorders and genetic conditions, as well as discussion of current therapies being used in Alzheimer’s disease treatment to slow progression and imaging appearances of ARIA associated with these therapies (as the frequency of these scans an treatments are increasing, but learners are not familiar with them yet).

By attending this webinar, attendees will:

  • Review the imaging appearance of normal aging in the brain.
  • Develop a basic approach to imaging in dementia with protocols used.
  • Identify important anatomy in dementia imaging.
  • Utilize a case-based approach to review different pathologies in dementia and neurodegenerative diseases and current treatments.
