DO Day 2026: Osteopathic advocacy in action

By AOA Staff

04.02.26

DO Day 2026 was a tremendous success, bringing together more than 470 osteopathic physicians and students from 44 states to advocate for the osteopathic profession and the patients you serve. Together, participants met with 321 congressional offices, including 233 in the U.S. House and 88 in the Senate, delivering a strong, unified message on the importance of supporting osteopathic medicine.

Because of these efforts, policymakers heard directly about the challenges facing physicians and the need for solutions that protect access to care and strengthen our healthcare system. Advocates urged support for key priorities, including stabilizing Medicare physician payment, expanding the physician workforce and improving patient access to timely, appropriate treatments.

Continue the experience: Virtual DO Day & ongoing engagement

You can still participate in DO Day through Virtual DO Day, offering high-quality advocacy and health policy CME designed to keep you informed, engaged and effective beyond Capitol Hill. Whether you attended in person or not, this is a valuable opportunity to deepen your understanding of the issues shaping healthcare and continue building your advocacy skillset.
