The AOA is now accepting applications for the Bureau of Emerging Leaders (BEL) DO Day Scholarship, which provides opportunities for osteopathic residents, fellows and new physicians in practice to attend DO Day on Capitol Hill, set for April 15-16 (virtual) and April 19-20 (in-person), 2023.
The ideal scholarship candidate will be interested in advocacy engagement and public policy, and ideally will not have attended DO Day on Capitol Hill before.
The program provides scholarships for up to five residents, fellows and new physicians in practice (those within five years of graduating from their residency or fellowship program) to participate in DO Day, covering the cost of registration for the event and a travel stipend for up to $1,500. This scholarship program is sponsored by the American Osteopathic Information Association.
To be considered, applicants must complete an online application. Applications are due by Jan. 31. Winners will be notified by Feb. 20. Apply now.
Scholarship recipients will be recognized at DO Day and will have the opportunity to participate in future BEL activities and programs.
If you have any questions about the application, contact the AOA at BEL@osteopathic.org.
