The AOA is now accepting applications for the Bureau of Emerging Leaders (BEL) DO Day Scholarship, which provides opportunities for osteopathic residents and fellows to attend this year’s virtual DO Day on Capitol Hill, set for March 7-8, 2021.

The ideal scholarship candidate will be interested in advocacy engagement and public policy, and ideally will not have attended DO Day on Capitol Hill before.

The program provides scholarships for up to 5 residents and fellows to participate in virtual DO Day, covering the cost of registration for the event and AOA membership for one year. This scholarship program is sponsored by the American Osteopathic Information Association.

To be considered, applicants must complete an online application and submit a short essay. Applications are now due by Jan. 29. Winners will be notified by Feb. 8. Apply now.

Due to the virtual format, there are a limited number of DO Day registrations available. Therefore, we encourage applicants to register for DO Day along with submitting an application if you plan to attend regardless of your scholarship status. Winners will be refunded the cost of registration.

Scholarship recipients will be recognized at DO Day and will have the opportunity to participate in future BEL activities and mentoring programs.

If you have any questions about the application, contact the AOA at BEL@osteopathic.org.
