ATSU-KCOM Pre-Conference: Ultrasound Pearls for a General Practitioner

This hands-on ultrasound workshop will provide participants with ultrasound skills at the point-of-care that can be used in daily practice. This ultrasound training has the potential not only to enhance the learning experience for practitioners, but also to improve the quality of patient care.

Educational objectives:

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

Perform standard ultrasound examinations of the neck and thyroid gland to accurately assess anatomical structures.
Identify key musculoskeletal structures and evaluate common pathologies using ultrasound imaging of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and knee.
Execute a Focused Assessment with Sonography in Trauma (FAST) exam to evaluate acute traumatic injuries.
Demonstrate safe and precise ultrasound-guided needle placement for procedural interventions.
