This focused six hour pediatric mini course is designed for clinical radiologists and learners who are involved in the after-hours care of pediatric patients. The course provides an overview of high-yield, time-sensitive pediatric imaging findings that commonly present during nights and weekends. Participants will gain practical insights into recognizing critical diagnoses, avoiding common pitfalls and improving diagnostic confidence in the after-hours setting. The curriculum spans a wide range of emergent pediatric conditions, including thoracic, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, musculoskeletal and neurologic emergencies. Special attention is given to mimics and diagnostic traps that can lead to misinterpretation, as well as to the unique considerations in evaluating for non-accidental trauma.
