On Jan. 8,  2024, the AOA and 40 osteopathic state and specialty affiliates sent a letter to Congress expressing support for the Preserving Seniors’ Access to Physicians Act (H.R. 6683), which would eliminate the looming 3.37% cut to Medicare physician payment, which took effect Jan. 1, 2024. The letter states that enactment of this legislation would prevent further harm to the financial stability of physician practices and would allow them to continue providing essential care to Medicare beneficiaries, ensuring patients can maintain access to timely and high-quality care.

As a leading voice on Capitol Hill, the AOA is committed to advocating for policies that support our physician and student members and ensure the best possible care for your patients. Now, we need your help contacting your U.S. Representative to tell them to support H.R. 6683 today.
