Selena Raines, DO, MPH, is an AOA board-certified osteopathic family physician at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead, KY where she practices outpatient medicine and serves as the Associate Program Director and Director of Osteopathic Education for the University of Kentucky Rural (Morehead) Family Medicine Residency Program. She is also a clinical preceptor for medical students from both the University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine and the University of Kentucky College of Medicine.

Dr. Raines completed the AOA’s Training in Policy Studies (TIPS) Program in 2017 and has served the AOA on several bureaus and committees since that time. She is active in the Kentucky Osteopathic Medical Association where she currently serves as the secretary on the Board of Trustees. She is also an active member of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, serving on various committees and having attended their Futures Leaders Conference.

Dr. Raines received her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Pikeville Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2015, where she was awarded the John A. Strosnider, DO Memorial Scholarship Award and the Ram’s Head Award. She completed her residency training in 2018 at the St. Claire HealthCare Osteopathic Family Medicine Residency Program in Morehead, KY, where she served as the Chief Resident and was awarded the Heart of Family Medicine Award.

Dr. Raines is a proud veteran, having served 12 years in the United States Army Reserve. She has an excellent support team at home, in her husband and two children.
