Angela Pluguez is a fourth-year Osteopathic medical student at New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University. She was an Academic Medicine Scholar at her institution, taking an extra year to teach, participate in research and do coursework corresponding to the unique aspects of academic medicine. Throughout medical school Angela has served in various roles as a part of the Student Osteopathic Medical Association, including the roles of Strategic Partnership Director, Convention Director and National Board of Directors Chairperson.
She is passionate about elevating the student voice and working with underrepresented populations. She considers Kissimmee, FL her hometown and will be pursuing a residency in Pediatrics.Back to Leadership
