About the Presenter: Michael R. Brown, DO, was the first physician to provide direct-to-consumer telemedicine in Missouri and built a team of providers who continue to give care remotely to patients through rural northwest Missouri. His interests are in innovative ways to deliver health care to his patients and increasing physician satisfaction with electronic health records. He currently works full time for Meritas Health where he practices family medicine in Smithville Missouri. He is the former Assistant Chief Medical Informatics Officer and Medical Director of Telemedicine for Mosaic Life Care. Dr. Brown graduated from the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his Family and Community Medicine residency at Truman Medical Centers.
