The medical appeal process provides an opportunity to challenge a decision you perceive as inaccurate, unfair, harsh or discriminatory. The appeals process is also the mechanism for health plans to review denials in accordance with their medical policy guidelines. Most practices can write appeal letters to dispute a rejected claim, however to write an effective appeal letter is no easy task.
